Lab 12

In my opinion lab 12 was totally amazing because it was something new for me. Eventhough it was made based on JQuery, but still it was something really unique and nice. It was like if you go on top one line where there is a specific topic then it will expand and show more information about that topic. First my teacher went over the code as she always does and explained us the code step by step. We basically had to create three pages for it which was html, css and JavaScript. It seemed easy to me since I knew a bit about JQuery so I coped every code step by step and I was happy that I finished, but unfortunately I had to face troubleshoot this time as well. I always face troubleshoot, but this time it wasn't that big. It was a small mistake which my friend helped me to figure out. Lastly I finished and upload it to my server.

I used Dreamweave for this lab. This is related to to web design because this is something unique to present to a client to give them some idea about web design. This skill will help me in the future with my labs and projects. I also really liked this lab because I got chance to learn something new from this lab. It was something new and interesting for me. Also I would really love to learn something more like this in the future.

Lab 11

Lab 11 was about JQuery as well. We were basically learning more about JQuery. I liked this lab as well because it was amazing like the other one. For this lab first my teacher went over the code that she always does and explain us every step in details. Then she showed us the example of how the lab is going to be seen if we preview and when she showed I was so excited since it was something new and amazing. Second my teacher printed the css, JS, and html codes so we can follow the code step by step and don't make any mistakes. So I was copying copes step by step correctly and this time I had to faced no troubleshoot and I was so happy for it. Then when I finished copying the codes I changed my background color, fix the font style, etc. Lastly, I preview it and upload it to my server. 

I used Dreamweave for this lab only. It is relevant to web design because it was created by using css, JS and html to create it in a website which is part of web design. JS function that I used was .ready, .mouseenter, .fadeTo, and .mouseleave. Also css function that I used was #ddiv and #d. This skill will help me in the future with the labs and projects. 

Lab 10

Lab 10 was about all about JQuery. It was something totally new for me so I was really excited to learn about it. For this lab I had to create Div function with fadeIn, fadeOut, slideUp, and slideDown. Before everything I had to downloaded JQuery and save it to my Dropbox so the process can work. So for the lab my teacher went by and explained us every steps in detail. Whenever she was done with one step, she would give us time to finish that step so we can catch up the next step. I copied every code step by step since she told us to do that. When I was doing the final step I had to go though one troubleshoot.

I was bit confuse because all of my code was right then I was like why doesn't it work. Fortunately my friend saved me again. She figured out the problem and fix my lab. Lastly I uploaded it to my server and submit it. I used Dreamweave for this lab. The JQuery function that I used was div, and script. This will help me in the future with my upcoming labs and projects. Also I would love to learn more about JQuery because I find it interesting. I feel like I can create lots of different things in a browser using JQuery in a better way than html.

Evaluation for 2nd Marking Period

I actually didn't do that good this marking period. My grade was higher last marking period. Last marking period my grade was 98% and it dropped to 96% this marking period. I'm little upset about it, but grades are always up and down so what can I do. My best category for this marking period was engagement and classwork. Also my lowest grade category was in shark tank presentation.  I am not missing any assignments since I finish them on time. I believe that I can do lot better if I pay attention in class and do all of my work with extra effort. If I do so then there is a chance that I will get about 98-100% in class. Lastly I would say that I'm confident about this marking period than the others because I know that I want to keep my grade up at the time and not let it drop again. 

Project 2

 

Project 2 was my most favorite project of all because even though it wasn't that beautiful, but working with my team was the best thing ever. I loved it and enjoyed it a lot. First of all before working in the project, all the students were assigned into a team; each team had three people. We had captian already then we just had pick one of them. I picked my captian and I was actually satisfied about it. Then we interview the client which was my classmate. Since we had to make a website based on how the client wants it to be I had to listen to each details clearly and I was taking notes in order to use it while making the website. I was actually so excited about this project because it was the first time when I was doing something like this. Later on after interviewing my client I talked to my teammates in order to plan and discuss about the website that I was assign to create.

The next day I created the story board, explained to my team and presented to my client and they liked it. So basically I was selected to create their website. Since they trusted my team I promised that I will make them satisfy and add something extra to their website which will attract people. After all those I started working on my project. At first me and my CEO created the banner. Then we looked for a good background that matches the client needs. I actually had to create about 35 pages so it was so terrible. I frustrated, but with the help of my CEO I was back to track. So for the website the client told me to create a page which contains everything about dogs. I created pages that contains dogs clothes, treats, shoes, bedding, collars, contact, and donation. Also each page includes four page inside as well except for the contact and donation page. Eventhough it was too much, but i enjoyed it. After all those me and my CEO was so excited that we finish, but unfortunately then we figured out that something is wrong. I was so mad and piseed because the next day was out presentation about the website which we had to present to the client again to show the website that we have created for them. I tried to troubleshoot lots of time, but unfortunately I couldn't do anything. I almost gave up, but my CEO didn't he tried a lot to fix it. Then at the last moment we actually fixed it. I was so excited that I was jumping around. It was like miracle because it just work one minute right before we actually presented. Lastly, I uploaded and linked to my web page.

I used Dreamweave, Photoshop, and Flash for this project. Some JS code that I have used was script, hr, and marquee. This is relevant to web design because it was like creating a website for a client which basically web designer does. This will help me in the future a lot because if the future I actually become a web designer and assigne to create a website for them then I will be really good at it since I have the experience of what the clients will like or don't like. Lastly I would say that this project was the best and I just loved it especially working with the people that I was assigned to.

West Point Trip

On Wednesday November 04, 2015 all the web design and apple student visited the United State West Point Military Academy as a trip since we are not having career day this year. Honestly I would say that it was the best trip of my life. We all traveled by a bus which took about 2 hours to reach there. Eventhough it took so long, but still it was so fun because all that time I got the chance to spend more time with my friends and see the beautiful view that I believe I have never seen before. The views was so beautiful that I can't even explain in a work; it was just amazing. So after 2 hours we reached there and got in the auditorium where someone was giving us the welcome speech. Then some of the armies came and told us  about there life and some history about West Point. 

Later on we got chance to meet some more armies and know about their experience there. There was mostly the army with who was there based on technology and they were also presenting  some of their work they have done. After that we had out lunch and we were assigned to one army who tour the school to us. He explained us the history of West Point in detail and showed us most of the things around. Lastly we all came back and said by to all armies and got back to the bus to come back to ITHS. Overall eventhough the trip wasn't as long, but the moments that I have spended there with my friend was amazing. I would love to visit there again if I get chance because the people were amazing there and the place was beyond beautiful.

Lab 9

Lab 9 was to create a day and a night button where if you click then the background picture will change. Also clock, date, and day with it.I found it so interesting since it was something new, but the problem was that I had no idea of how to do it, but since I had to draw a day and night picture so I planed to draw these pictures before thinking of how to create these button. After that I opened Photoshop and start drawing these pictures. I wanted my picture to be really creative so it took time for me to finish the drawings. Then I saved these pictures, it took so long for the picture that I didn't understand why, but at the moment I opened Dreamweaver to create the a day and a night button using JS. Since lots of my classmates finished the lab so I asked helped drone them. They gave me the code and I copied, but my lab wasn't working. At least five people helped me, but they could figure out the problem. I was so sad that I almost cried because all the codes were right, but still it wasn't working. The bell was almost about to right then I was like I should upload because it better to do something then doing nothing. After uploading my friend came to help me again. Then I told her that let me take the screenshot of the pictures that I drew to see it it works that way. After taking the screenshot, I rewrite the code and check then it was working. So two minutes before the bell ring I realized that the pictures was too big that's why it wasn't working, I was so at myself at that moment. I couldn't finish, but then on Monday when I reached school I troubleshoot that problem by myself and finished. Lastly I added the clock since I know how to do that and upload the lab it to my server.

The objective for the lab was to create a day and a night button so the background changes. I used Photoshop and Dreanweaver for this lab. This is relevant to web design because it was created by using JS which is part of web design. JavaScript function that I used was script, div, and button. This will help me in the future while creating labs and projects.  

Lab 7

Lab 7 was to create rollover using three different way. I used HTML, JavaScrip, and Adobe Fireworks. To be honest before starting this lab I thought it will be super easy so I was like rushing to finish. Since I was not allowed to use any pictures from Internet so I sended some of the pictures that I have takes by myself to me so I can use them for the lab. First I opened Dreamweaver and insert rollover images using HTML. I finish that really quickly since I'm really good at it, but next I was told to use firework to create rollover. I actually used firework to create rollover during my junior year, but I forgot hot to do so my friend helped me with that. After I finished creating rollover in fireworks I saved it and insert it to Dreamweaver. After this comes the hard one which was to create rollover using JavaScrip. Well I know how to use JavaScrip a bit, but never created a rollover using JS. It took so long for me to finish this part, but again my friend saved my life. After finishing I saved it and upload it to my server.

This is relevant to web designer because it was made by using JS and HTML which is part of web design. JavaScrip function that I used for this lab was style, script, div, td, and tr. This skill will help me in the future a lot while I will be doing the other projects and labs.

Lab 8

Lab 8 was to create first thousand prime numbers into a individual cells of a table using JS. When my teacher told the class that and showed the old students works I was like wow I really want to learn how to do this, but it wasn't as easy as I thought. At first I was totally confuse, but by god mercy my teacher gave us the code to do this lab. I opened Dreamweaver and open two HTML page, the first one I saved it as lab 8 and the second one I saved it as JS file. Then I copied the code that was given to us exactly the same way. After that I was happy that I finished, but my teacher was like we have to create a two box where it says find the prime number and maximum column so where someone types the number then the pime numbers comes in individual cells of table. When I heard that I was totally confuse, I didn't know what to do so I was going to the old students works so I can find the code. Then I saw one of my classmate finished it so I told him to help me and he helped me to finish. After that like always I saved it and upload it to my server. 

The objective of this lab was to create prime numbers into a individual cells of a table. I used Dreamweaver for this lab. This is relevant to Dreamweaver because it's was created by using HTML. JavaScript methods that I used was style, div, and script. This will help me a lot in the future while creating any lab or project that includes individual cells of table. 

HW Creativity

 

Creativity is a thing that develops in everyone's mind. We actually don't know where it comes from, but we still can define it by our imagination. According to the NPR podcast we can show our creativity by our dancing skill, singing, taking, imagining, and by much more things. Artistic skill is not the only way to show our creativity. Creativity develops through our brain, but we actually don't know how to use these ideas when we actually need them and the NPR voice record explains us when or how to use or control these ideas when we need them and when we don't need them. The NPR podcast explained that creativity can be express in many ways not only by our artistic skill. Creativity is relates to Web Design for sure because we use our creativity while designing a website. Also before designing a website we as a web designer have to sketch our creativity ideas to show how the website will actually look like so later on we can decide weather to keep the idea or add something to it. We show our creativity idea using storyboard to show how each step or scene will look like. All these information explains how creativity is related to web design and when we can actually use them.

Project 1

      

  For project 1 I was suppose to add the pop up boxes and day/time table that I have learned form labs 3-6 into my index. Then I was told to rename the index into project 1 in order to finish project 1. I know it sounds so complicated and when I first heard that I have to do this I was like what I can't do this. I was confuse and it was difficult for me to finish. Then I saw my friends to finishing up the project so I asked them to hell me out and show how they did it. When they show me I was like that's it it's seemed so easy and I finish it in about 10-20 minute. So let's talk about how I started the project. At first I opened my index and copied the code from lab 3-6 to and paste it to my index. Then I changed the sentences/word that will pop up, saved it, but before saving I deleted these codes from my index so the project and index doesn't get mess up. Lastly I preview and upload it to my server in order for the people to see. 

        The objection of this lab was to add these pop up boxes to my index and turn it into a project. I was basically told to add these codes that I have learn so far into my index and turn it into a project. I used dreamweaver for this project. This is relevant to web design because it was like creating a web page inside a web site  with pop up boxes. JS method and function that I have used was style, p=prompt, if statement, if els statement, and alert. This will help me in the future while doing any other projects and labs of mine or doing any work with pop up boxes. 

Lab 6

            Lab 6 was to create the day time table. I was actually confuse at first because it was something new for me. When I was doing this lab I made so many mistake there was something wrong, but I didn't know what was it. The. I asked my friend to help me out then she caught the error and help me finish this lab. At first, I open Dreamweaver like always and save it. Next I copied the code that was given by Mrs. Ramirez to finish up. Then I changed the background color and the text color. Lastly I preview my lab to browser and upload it to my server. The objective of this lab was to create a day time table so the right date appear when someone will open the lab. 

           I used dreamweaver for this lab. This is relevant to web design because it's like creating a web page with day table in a web site. JS function and methods that I have used style, switch, case, break, and document.write. This skill will help me in the future with all of the others projects and labs. Even if I do a job then this skill will help me also for making day table in some presentation.

Lab 5

Lab 5 was basically same as Lab 3 and 4 where I had to create pop up boxes. It wasn't hard for me because I already have experience from Lab 3 and 4 and my teacher gave the codes to the whole class. So basically what I did was just copy the codes in rightly to continue. First I opened html page from Dreamweaver and saved it. Next I copies the code that was given to continue. After that I changed the background, add the headings and preview in browser to see the real view. Lastly I upload it to my server and submit to my teacher. The object of this lab was to create a pop up box with password; yes or no. Well I know how to create pop up box with some message, but since I didn't know how to create pop up boxes with password and message with it so I was bit confuse, but then when my teacher showed me then I was like oh wow it's easy. 

I used Dreamweaver for this lab. This is relate to web design because it is basically creating a pop up box in browser with type answer in it which is like creating a webpage. JS function that I used was style, p=prompt, alert, if statement, and if else statement. This skill will help me in the future while doing others projects or labs. It will help me to finish it up easily since I know how to use this technique. 

Lab 4

           Lab 4 was also about popup boxes. It was a lot similar to Lab 3 so it wasn't that  difficult. For this lab I had to think about a math problem since in this lab I had to show the addition, subtraction, product, and quotient of the problem. First, I opened Dreamweaver and saved it. Second, I used the JaveScript code to do the lab. I copied the same code that my teacher showed me, but I changed the number in order to make the math problem look different. After I preview in browser, changed the background color and saved it. Lastly I upload it to my server so everyone can see. 

           The object of this lab was to creat two pop up boxes with math problems. I used Dreamweaver to finish this lab. This is relevant to Web Design because it's part of Web Client Program which is part of web design. Also for this lab I used dreamweaver which is also part of web design. It was basically creating a web page with popup boxes and web page is part of web design. JS function or method that I have used was style, x, y, alert, +sum, +subtract, +product, ++quotient, and document.write. This skill will help me a lot in the future because if I ever want to make any presentation or anything else with popup boxes the this skill help me a lot and I will be able to finish the work easily. 

Lab 2

                 Lab 2 was about our smart goal. We think about three of our smart goal to do this lab which was what is our goal for high school, collage and future. It actually took me long to thing about because I know what is my goal for high school, but I'm not sure about my goals for collage and future, but anyway I had to think about it and finish it. So for this lab first I opened new html document in dreamweaver and saves it in my lab 3 folder. Next I added the headings and used JavaScrip code to add those smart goals into a button so when I click the button, it pop up. After that I added the background color and saved it. 

                 The objects of this lab was to create button with popup smart goals. I have used dreamweaver for this lab. This is relevant to web design because it is a bit similar to flash, but the different a is that JS have popup which flash doesn't have. It like making a website with clickable button where something will pop up. JS method that I have used was style, script, form, and div. This will help me in the future because if in the future I want to create a button where if I click will show some information, but different button will have different then this method will be a plus point for me. I will be able to finish up the presentation easily and fast.

Lab 1

                    Lab 1 was about creating buttons. It wasn't really a hard lab, but I really liked it since it was something new. It was something different than what I have learned in my junior year. At first I opene a new file in dreamweaver and named the document. Next I named the headings and use the JavaScrip codes to create the clickable button. The button that I have created says "this is demonstration" at the bottom and when I click it says "hello JavaScrip". Then I have added information about me which is about 2-3 paragraph to let the audience know some information about me. Lastly I changed my background and saved it to upload.

                   The object of this project is to create a button which is clickable and says somethings after I click. I used dreamweaver for this lab. This is relevant to web design because this is same as web design where you create a JS page in a webpage. JS function or methods that I have used style, button, and document.getElementById. This will help me in the future because of in the future I wants to create a button where somethings will already show, but if I click something else will appear then I can easily use this method to finish up in a second and impress my clients by Thai method.

Lab 3

               

                  Lab 3 was about popup boxes. It was different than Lab 2 and Lab3. It was a bit confusing at first, but later on I understood and finished it. I really like lab 3 because it was something different that what I have learn and what I know. It was really interesting and I want to do something like Lab 3 more, but more advance. At first I opened a new file in dreamweaver and name it. Next I used JavaScript codes to finish my lab; it basically was about JavaScript. Then I created the alert and popup box so before the html document opens the alert and popup box can show and people could decide weather they wants to continue or not. After that I added the heading and some information about my class so when someone continue they will be able to see those information. Then I changed the background color and saved it. 

                  The object of this was was to learn how to create popup boxes so I can be more advance at it in the future. I used dreamweaver for this lab. It is relevant to Web Design because it is the third part of web design; it' apart of web design. Js function or methods that I have used was alert for popup boxes, +x, +y, +z for the sentence to continue, and document.write to finish the sentence. I believe this skill will help me a lot in the future because it will help to create a JS document with popup boxes. Also if in the future I want to create a website or anything and want to add popup boxes before that so people can decide weather they wants to continue or not, then this skill will help me to do that.

The difference between website and a web page is that the collection of web page makes a website. Web site contain more than one page and web page is a full page of information that contain links to other pages. For example, web site is a book and web page is the page of a book. A storyboard is a drawing/sketching to show how a web page will look like and a site map is a drawing/picture to show how one page will be connected with each other. A story board helps you to plan how the web page will look like and a site map will help you to understand how the pages are interacted with each other. You need a storyboard and site map because it helps you to plan how a web page will look like and will interact with each other. It helps you to crate a timeline that show where a story will start and end. It also helps you to understand how your web page will end up look like.

What is web design?

 

I don't know the exact meaning of Web Design, but for me web design means creating your own things such as websites by your own ideas. In web design class I use my own idea to build my own websites and it's really interesting for me. The important part of web design is color, layout, and graphics. Web design believes it's a site to impress the audience. With the beautiful artistic skills they create webpage connecting web sites using colored contacts and graphic element. It's a place where you come to draw your own ideas using storyboard m and turn that into a beautiful artistic website. It's similar to art, but the difference is that in art class you create your own design using paintings and in web design you create your own design using computer that contain Photoshop, Fireworks, Flash, JavaScript, Dreamweaver, etc. Web design is also known as Visual Design, Digital Design and Web Client Programming. It's a place to plan and build your on sites.

Who am I during 5-6 period?

                

                Hey! My name is Sheik Mitu Malek. I'm an ordinary girl from Bangladesh. Like everyone even I'm not perfect, but I always ask myself that who am I ?. I know that this question is tricky, but in order to figure out who you really are, you will have to ask yourself. You have to go deep in your heart to figure out the answer, but fist of all you have to figure out what you like to do and how do you want to see yourself in the future. As per now I'm a web designer in school for 5-6 period.

              Why am I here? I'm here to be a professional web designer. Since I'm not that good at web design so I'm here to learn everything about web design. I started web design as the visual designer then I studied digital designer and now I'm here as a web client programmer. I can't learn everything about web design at the same time so that's why I'm studying web design for three years with three different parts. I'm here to learn more and more to be successful in the future.

             Now in web design I'm in a lower level and I'm here to reach the top from low. I want to reach the top to master in web design. I know that it's heard, but if anyone tries to do something with their full heart then nothing is impossible. If you think nothing is impossible then the things you find impossible won't take time to be possible. At last I will say that I'm a designer also I'm here to master it and graduated with CTE diplomate.
